Detection of Human JunB by Western Blot.

Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line and PC-3 human prostate cancer cell line. PVDF Membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human JunB Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4456) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for JunB at approximately 50 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

JunB is a member of the bzip Jun family of transcription factors. JunB binds as a homo or heterodimer, with other members of the Jun/Fos family, to the DNA element TGA[CG]TCA. Knock out mice indicate that JunB is involved in erythroid differentiation and hematopoietic stem cell viability.
