I kappa B kinase alpha (IKK alpha ) is also known as IKBKA, CHUK, and IKK1. The classical active IKK complex, composed of IKK alpha, IKK beta, and two forms of processed IKK gamma, phosphorylates and inactivates I kappa B, resulting in the release and nuclear translocation of active NF-kappa B. IKK alpha contains kinase, leucine zipper, and helix-loop-helix domains, and heterodimerizes with IKK beta. NF-kappa B-inducing kinase (NIK) phosphorylates and activates IKK alpha.

Scientific Data Images for Human Phospho-IKK alpha (S176/S180) Antibody
Detection of Human Phospho-IKK alpha (S176/S180) by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line untreated (-) or treated (+) with 100 nM Calyculin A (Catalog # 1336) and 20 ng/mL Recombinant Human TNF-a (Catalog # 210-TA) for 10 minutes. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Rat Anti-Human Phospho-IKKa (S176/S180) Mono-clonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3768) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF005). A specific band was detected for Phospho-IKKa (S176/S180) at approximately 90 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 2.Applications for Human Phospho-IKK alpha (S176/S180) Antibody
