Detection of Mouse Angiopoietin‑like Protein 2/ANGPTL2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of mouse uterus tissue and MEF mouse embryonic feeder cells. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Mouse Angiopoietin-like Protein 2/ANGPTL2 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF1444) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF017). A specific band was detected for Angiopoietin-like Protein 2/ANGPTL2 at approximately 60 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

Background: Angiopoietin-like Protein 2/ANGPTL2
Angiopoietinlike2 (ANGPTL2), also known as ANGRP2, is a secreted glycoprotein structurally related to Angiopoietin. It does not bind the Tie1 or Tie2 receptors. ANGPTL2 induces sprouting but is not mitogenic in endothelial cells.
