Recommended Usage

Direct ELISA

This antibody can be used at 0.3 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human RXR gamma.

Immunoprecipitation

This antibody can be used at 0.3 μg/mL with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human RXR gamma.

Western Blot

This antibody can be used at 1 μg/mL under reducing conditions and at 3 μg/mL under non-reducing conditions with the appropriate secondary reagents to detect human RXR gamma.

Background: RXR gamma/NR2B3

Retinoid X Receptor gamma (RXR gamma ; NR2B3) is a member of the Orphan Nuclear Receptor superfamily. 9-cis retinoic acid can bind to RXR. RXR gamma is expressed in the brain and pituitary. Along with other members of the RXR family, RXR gamma plays roles in a variety of processes including embryonic patterning and organogenesis, cell proliferation and cell differentiation. RXRs commonly function as heterodimers with other members of the Nuclear Receptor superfamily. Two N-terminally different isoforms of RXR gamma with different expression patterns exist, RXR gamma 1 and RXR gamma 2.
