APLP‑1 in SH‑SY5Y Human Cell Line.

APLP‑1 was detected in immersion fixed SH‑SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line (positive staining) and MOLT‑4 human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line (negative staining) using Mouse Anti-Human APLP‑1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3129) at 25 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; NL007) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. Staining was performed using our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Non-adherent Cells.

APLP‑1 in TT Human Cell Line.

APLP‑1 was detected in immersion fixed TT human medullary thyroid cancer cell line (positive staining) and MOLT‑4 human acute lymphoblastic leukemia cell line (negative staining) using Mouse Anti-Human APLP‑1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3129) at 25 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Background: APLP-1

APLP-1 is a transmembrane metalloprotein that is expressed in central neurons. Similar to APP and APLP-2, APLP-1 is susceptible to cleavage by various secretases, generating multiple fragments from the extracellular and intracellular domains. These include peptides similar to the amyloidogenic A beta peptides and a cytoplasmic fragment that associates with Fe65 family proteins and functions as a transcriptional activator. The extracellular domain contains heparin and collagen binding regions and shares 89% amino acid sequence identity between human and mouse.
