Neutralization

Measured by its ability to neutralize CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine‑1-induced chemotaxis in the BaF3 mouse pro‑B cell line transfected with human CXCR2. The Neutralization Dose (ND₅₀) is typically 4-20 µg/mL in the presence of 15 ng/mL Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine‑1.

Chemotaxis Induced by CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine‑1 and Neutralization by Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine‑1 Antibody. Recombinant Rat CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1 (Catalog # 1116-CK) chemo-attracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CXCR2 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Rat CXCL7/ Thymus Chemokine-1 (15 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Rat CXCL7/ Thymus Chemokine-1 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1116). The ND₅₀ is typically 4-20 µg/mL.

Background: CXCL7/Thymus Chemokine-1

CXCL7, also known as Thymus Chemokine-1, is a member of the alpha (CXC) subfamily of chemokines. It functions as a chemoattractant for neutrophils, macrophages and T cells that express CXCR2/IL-8 R beta. Rat CXCL7 cDNA encodes a 111 amino acid (aa) precursor protein. Rat CXCL7 shares 72% aa sequence identity with mouse CXCL7.
