Detection of Human GPRASP2 by Western Blot. Western blot shows lysates of SH-SY5Y human neuroblastoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human GPRASP2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB7078) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for GPRASP2 at approximately 94 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.

GPRASP2 in Human Brain. GPRASP2 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human brain (cortex) using Mouse Anti-Human GPRASP2 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB7078) at 15 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Mouse HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS002) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Background: GPRASP2

GPRASP2 (G-protein coupled receptor-associated sorting protein 2), also called GASP-2, is a ~94 kDa cytosolic protein of the GPRASP family of receptor sorting proteins. Genes for this family are clustered on the X chromosome. Like GPRASP1, GPRASP2 binds the C-terminal cytoplasmic region of G-protein coupled receptors such as the muscarinic receptor M1 (CHRM1) and the calcitonin receptor (CALCR). It has also been shown to interact with the Huntingtin protein. Over the region used as an immunogen, GPRASP2 shares 68% and 72% with mouse and rat GPRASP2, respectively.
