Chemotaxis Induced by CXCL3/CINC‑2 alpha and Neutralization by Rat CXCL3/CINC‑2 alpha / beta Antibody. Recombinant Rat CXCL3/ CINC-2a (Catalog # 516-CA) chemoattracts the BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with human CXCR2 in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). The amount of cells that migrated through to the lower chemotaxis chamber was measured by Resazurin (Catalog # AR002). Chemotaxis elicited by Recombinant Rat CXCL3/ CINC-2a (0.05 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Rat CXCL3/CINC-2a/ beta Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB516). The ND50 is typically 0.5-2.5 µg/mL.

Background: CXCL3/GRO gamma/CINC-2/DCIP-1
CINC-2 alpha and -2 beta are mRNA splice variant isoforms that differ by only 3 amino acids at their amino-termini. These proteins are CXC chemokines most closely related to human GROs and mouse MIP-2. They are produced by granulation tissue, activated macrophages and fibroblasts. CINC-2 biological activities are mediated by CXCR1 or CXCR2.
