Cell Proliferation Induced by IL-11 and Neutralization by Human IL-11 Antibody.

Recombinant Human IL-11 (218-IL) stimulates proliferation in the T11 mouse plasmacytoma cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by Resazurin (AR002). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Human IL-11 (1 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human IL-11 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB218R). The ND50 is typically 5-15 µg/mL

Neutralization

Measured by its ability to neutralize IL‑11-induced proliferation in the T11 mouse plasmacytoma cell line. Nordan, R. P. et al. (1987) J. Immunol. 139:813. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically5-15 µg/mL in the presence of 1 ng/mL Recombinant Human IL‑11.

Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS. For liquid material, refer to CoA for concentration.

Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with Trehalose. *Small pack size (SP) is supplied either lyophilized or as a 0.2 µm filtered solution in PBS.

Lyophilized product is shipped at ambient temperature. Liquid small pack size (-SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store immediately at the temperature recommended below.

Background: IL-11

Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by stromal cells. It binds to a dimeric receptor complex consisting of the IL-11 Ra chain and the gp130 chain shared by the receptors for the IL-6 cytokine family. IL-11 has multiple effects on hematopoietic cells and osteoblasts.
