Detects viral EBV IL‑10 in direct ELISAs and Western blots. In Western blots, less than 10% cross-reactivity with recombinant canine IL-10, recombinant feline IL-10, recombinant mouse IL-10, recombinant porcine IL-10, and recombinant rat IL-10 is observed.
Monoclonal Mouse IgG2B Clone # 134216
Protein A or G purified from hybridoma culture supernatant
E. coli-derived recombinant viral EBV IL‑10 Gln26-Arg170 Accession # P03180
Lyophilized from a 0.2 μm filtered solution in PBS with Trehalose. *Small pack size (SP) is supplied as a 0.2 µm filtered solution in PBS.
<0.10 EU per 1 μg of the antibody by the LAL method.
Measured by its ability to neutralize IL‑10-induced proliferation in the MC/9‑2 mouse mast cell line. Thompson‑Snipes, L. et al. (1991) J. Exp. Med. 173:507. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.1‑0.4 µg/mL in the presence of 100 ng/mL Recombinant Viral EBV IL‑10.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.

Cell Proliferation Induced by IL‑10 and Neutralization by Viral IL‑10 Antibody.
Recombinant Viral EBV IL‑10 (Catalog # 915-VL) stimulates proliferation in the MC/9‑2 mouse mast cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line). Proliferation elicited by Recombinant Viral EBV IL‑10 (100 ng/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Viral EBV IL‑10 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB915). The ND50 is typically 0.1‑0.4 µg/mL.

Interleukin 10 (IL-10) is a pleiotropic cytokine that can exert either immunostimulatory or immunosuppressive effects on a variety of cell types. It is produced predominantly by Th2 lymphocytes and other activated lymphoid cells.
