Recombinant Human Coagulation Factor V protein was serially diluted 2-fold and captured by Mouse Anti-Human Coagulation Factor V Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB98563) coated on a Clear Polystyrene Microplate (Catalog # DY990). Mouse Anti-Human Coagulation Factor V Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB98562) was biotinylated and incubated with the protein captured on the plate. Detection of the standard curve was achieved by incubating Streptavidin-HRP (Catalog # DY998) followed by Substrate Solution (Catalog # DY999) and stopping the enzymatic reaction with Stop Solution (Catalog # DY994).

Lyophilized product is shipped at ambient temperature. Liquid small pack size (-SP) is shipped with polar packs. Upon receipt, store immediately at the temperature recommended below.

Use a manual defrost freezer and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Background: Coagulation Factor V

Factor V (Coagulation Factor Five) is a 330kDa protein of the coagulation system encoded by the F5 gene. Unlike most other coagulation factors, Factor V is not enzymatically active but functions as a cofactor. Factor V is a central regulator of hemostasis. It serves as a critical cofactor for the pro-thrombinase activity of factor Xa that results in the activation of pro-thrombin to thrombin.
