FAM3C (Family with sequence similarity 3, member C), also known as D6WSU176e, is a secreted protein belonging to a cytokine-like family. Members of this family share a four helix bundle secondary structure similar to that found in many cytokines. FAM3C is ubiquitously expressed in multiple tissues. The human FAM3C gene has been identified to be a candidate gene for autosomal recessive non-syndromic hearing loss locus 17. The amino acid sequence of mature mouse FAM3C is 97% and 94% identical to that of rat and human FAM3C, respectively.

Scientific Data Images for Human FAM3C Antibody
FAM3C in A549 Human Cell Line.
FAM3C was detected in immersion fixed A549 human lung carcinoma cells treated with 10ng/mL of Recombinant Human TGF-beta 1 (Catalog # 240-B) for 48 hours using Mouse Anti-Human FAM3C Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB3084) at 10 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL007) and counter-stained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Cells on Coverslips.
