Detects human TNF RII in ELISAs and Western blots. In ELISAs, no cross-reactivity or interference was observed with recombinant human (rh) TNF RI, recombinant mouse (rm) TNF RI, rmTNF RII, rmTNF‑ alpha, rhTNF‑ alpha, or rhTNF‑ beta. In Western blots, this antibody does not cross‑react with rhTNF RI, rmTNF RI, or rmTNF RII.

Measured by its ability to neutralize TNF RII/TNFRSF1B-mediated inhibition of cytotoxicity in the L‑929 mouse fibroblast cell line. The Neutralization Dose (ND50) is typically 0.5-1.5 µg/mL in the presence of 0.3 µg/mL Recombinant Human TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Fc Chimera, 0.25 ng/mL Recombinant Human TNF‑ alpha, and 1 µg/mL actinomycin D.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application. General Protocols are available in the Technical Information section on our website.
TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Inhibition of TNF‑ alpha -induced Cytotoxicity and Neutralization by Human TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Antibody. Recombinant Human TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Fc Chimera (Catalog # 726-R2) inhibits Recombinant Human TNF‑ alpha (Catalog # 210-TA) induced cytotoxicity in the L‑929 mouse fibroblast cell line in a dose-dependent manner (orange line), as measured by crystal violet staining. Inhibition of Recombinant Human TNF‑ alpha (0.25 ng/mL) activity elicited by Recombinant Human TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Fc Chimera (0.3 µg/mL) is neutralized (green line) by increasing concentrations of Mouse Anti-Human TNF RII/TNFRSF1B Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB726). The ND50 is typically 0.5-1.5 µg/mL in the presence of the metabolic inhibitor actinomycin D (1 µg/mL).

Background: TNF RII/TNFRSF1B
TNF RII, also known as p75 or p80 TNF R, is a prototypic member of the
TNF receptor superfamily and has been designated TNFRSF1B. It binds TNF
with high affinity and is expressed primarily in cells of the immune
R&D Systems personnel manually curate a database that contains references using R&D Systems products.
The data collected includes not only links to publications in PubMed,
but also provides information about sample types, species, and experimental conditions.
The reconstitution calculator allows you to quickly calculate the volume of a reagent to reconstitute your vial. Simply enter the mass of reagent and the target concentration and the calculator will determine the rest.
