Detection of Human IkB-epsilon by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of DA3 mouse myeloma cell line, PC‑3 human prostate cancer cell line, Raji human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, LNCaP human prostate cancer cell line, and MCF‑7 human breast cancer cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human IkB-epsilon Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB4300) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF007). A specific band was detected for IkB-epsilon at approximately 45 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 4.

Reconstitute at 0.5 mg/mL in sterile PBS.

NF kappa B inhibitor epsilon (IkB epsilon ) inhibits the NF kappa B complex by binding and sequestering it in the cytoplasm. Upon stimulation, IkB epsilon is phosphorylated on serine residues marking it for degradation by the ubiquitin pathway. Following IkB epsilon degradation, the NF kappa B complex is able to translocate to the nucleus and activate transcription.
