R&D Systems ELISA Kits

R&D Systems ELISA Kits are the most trusted and widely published ELISAs on the market with a menu of 1,000 target analytes spanning 16 species. Our ELISA Kits come in a variety of formats including complete, ready-to-use Quantikine ELISAs, rapid 90-minute QuicKit ELISAs, and the more versatile DuoSet ELISA Development Systems that provide all the components necessary for a customer to develop their own working assay. Built using our own antibodies, proteins, and diluents, our ELISAs offer researchers the flexibility to choose from both off-the-shelf kits and a range of customized services, including lot reservations, bulk packaging, and the creation of new targets.

Our Quantikine Kits are complete, fully validated, ready-to-run immunoassay kits designed to measure protein concentrations in diverse sample types. Through meticulous development, Quantikine ELISA Kits deliver superior quantitative performance without requiring additional assay optimization by the customer. Every lot undergoes rigorous testing to ensure low background, a linear standard curve, consistent sensitivity, and a broad dynamic range. Control values established during assay development and validation ensure that our kits will perform consistently over time and are optimized to mitigate matrix effects and avoid false positives.

Quantikine vs. DuoSet ELISAs

  • Quantikine ELISA Kits are preconfigured and come in various formats to measure both intracellular and extracellular proteins using either alkaline phosphatase-based or polymeric streptavidin-HRP conjugate amplification systems. Extensively tested for long-term consistency and reproducibility, our master calibrated Quantikine assays guarantee consistent performance over time, and are optimized to minimize matrix effects and prevent false positives.
  • DuoSet ELISA Development Kits provide specific matched antibody pairs and the other essential components needed for immunoassay development. DuoSet ELISA Development Systems offer a cost-effective solution compared to purchasing individual antibodies and proteins and streamline the assay optimization process.

What Is an ELISA?

ELISA, (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays) are used to quantify specific target levels in various sample types. They typically employ 96-well plates coated with a capture antibody specific to the target protein or another biomolecule. After incubation, a detection antibody binds to a different epitope on the target antigen, forming a sandwich. A substrate is added and produces a signal proportional to the bound analyte. ELISA assays are often preferred over other assays due to their sensitivity, specificity, accuracy, and resilience to harsh conditions. Careful antibody selection, adherence to stringent manufacturing standards, and thorough testing and validation are essential steps to ensuring your ELISA delivers superior precision, accuracy, and sensitivity.
